En nuestro estudio partiremos de una definición de mito para aproximarnos a continuación a la configuración del mismo en una obra dramática, la Antígona de Sófocles.
Observaremos que ese núcleo temático aglutinador ha sido evidenciado en unos textos literarios específicos que vertebran ese significado de diversas formas adoptando así las características genéricas que los definen. Después de nuestro análisis textual, proponemos la reiteración del mito como imagen cultural definidora de una identidad que ha sido capaz de expresarse en diversas formas literarias y artísticas.

The starting point of our study will be a definition of myth, and then we will delive on it regarding the composition of a dramatic work, Sofocles’ Antigone. We will observe how that thematic and agglutinative core has been evident throughout time in specific literary texts that model that meaning in different ways, and thus taking the generic characteristics that define them. After our textual analysis, we suggest the repetition of myth as the defining image of a cultural identity that has been able to express itself in diverse literary and artistic forms
