Joseba Agirreazkuenaga Zigorraga, Mikel Urquijo Goitia, Fernando Martínez Rueda, Eduardo Alonso, Hilda Otero Abreu, Jon Penche González

  • This article has resulted from a line of research initiated over a decade ago by the Biography and Parliament Research Group at the University of the Basque Country with the aim of analysing parliamentary representation. In this article, Basque parliamentarians during the final period of the Monarchic Liberal Parliament in Spain are analysed. This period saw the industrial take-off in the coastal area of the Basque Country and the emergence of new social groups in the Spanish Parliament (Republicans, socialists, Basque nationalists). In this work, a group and its practice in the parliament are examined; a prosopographical working model for the study of parliament through its actors is also elaborated on.
