    If rural areas are to survive, local inhabitants must develop an attachement to the area where they live. If locals don't get involved, the responsability for developing respect for the environment would fall on outsiders. This article describes two examples where inhabitants work in the recovery of rural areas, with particular emphasis on sustainability.

    Landa-eremuko komunitate eta herriek (biztanleek) tokiarekiko atxikimendua garatzea ezinbestekoa da guneon biziraupenerako. Beraiek ez badira, kanpotik datozenek garatu beharko dute gunearekiko errespetu hori. Bide horretan kokatutako adibide bi azaltzen dira testuan, iraunkortasunaren bidetik egindako jarrera gisa.
