    Resumen Una persona con trastorno mental grave se caracteriza por padecer una perturbación de las ideas y los sentimientos, que afecta al lenguaje, a la percepción y al sentido de la propia realidad. Puede tener problemas para diferenciar lo real de lo imaginario, pensar de forma lógica, relacionarse con los demás y controlar sus emociones. Es frecuente que tengan alucinaciones, es decir, que oigan voces o vean cosas que no existen, tengan miedo de hechos que no ocurren en la realidad, estén convencidos que les roban o controlan lo que piensan, se aíslen, se muestren apáticos, descuiden su aspecto y sus tareas cotidianas y tengan comportamientos incomprensibles para los demás en su medio familiar, laboral o social.

    En este relato, el paciente define su enfermedad, hace un recorrido de su vida, describe sus sentimiento durante sus múltiples ingresos en salud mental, sus vivencias, sus relaciones familiares, su estado de ánimo, sus viajes y su sufrimiento.

    Abstract (A mind trapped in psychiatry and the chance to be free) A person with a high mental disorder presents abnormal processing of ideas and feelings which affect a range of functions from language to the perception and the sense of self-reality. They may have problems making distinctions between real things and their imaginations, while thinking in a logical way and meeting other people, as well as in taking control of his feelings. Usually these people may hallucinate, that's to say, they might hear nonexistent voices or see nonexistent things, become scared or feel that they have super abilities. As well as they often believe that they have been robbed, they may be apathetic, they forget about their appearance and daily tasks, and they may show incomprehensible behaviour in their family, social or working environment.

    In this text the patient explains his disease, takes us on a trip through his life describing his feelings in different mental-care hospitals, his relations with the personnel working there, his mood, his experiences, his family relationships, his journeys, and his suffering
