    Este artículo se centra en el estudio de la recepción de Le Rivoluzioni del Teatro Musicale Italiano de Esteban Arteaga, un texto que vio la luz en 1783, a través del cual se pone de manifiesto la riqueza del pensamiento arteaguiano. Si bien hasta ahora sólo se ha hecho mención tangencial a esta obra, hoy sabemos que ésta gozó de un gran crédito en la Europa de su tiempo. El estudio se inicia con unos apuntes biográficos sobre Esteban Arteaga, posteriormente analiza el origen del libro y los fundamentos de la teoría arteguiana sobre la ópera, para centrarse finalmente en su recepción en Italia, Alemania, Francia, España y Polonia.

    This article examines the reception of Esteban Arteaga's Le Rivoluzioni del Teatro Musicale Italiano, a text published in 1783, revealing the richness of Arteaga's ideas. Although only passing mention has been made of this work until now, it is now known that it was well reputed in Europe during this time. The study begins with a biographical sketch of Esteban Arteaga, followed by an analysis of the book's origins and the foundations of Arteaga's theory of opera, finally focusing on its reception in Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Poland.
