Factores determinantes de la afiliación sindical en España

    Esta investigación se plantea conocer los determinantes de la probabilidad de que un trabajador esté afiliado a un sindicato en España. En ella se supone que los factores determinantes de la afiliación están relacionados con los ingresos y costes asociados a esa decisión individual. Por ello, en primer lugar, se tratan de identificar los elementos que aproximan esos ingresos y costes; y, en segundo lugar, se estima el efecto de cada uno de ellos sobre la afiliación, utilizando la técnica de los modelos loait . La fuente estadística empleada es la Encuesta de Estructura , Conciencia, y Biografía de clase del año 1990. En las conclusiones se destaca que, aunque ciertos rasgos personales y del puesto de trabajo son determinantes muy importantes de la afiliación sindical, existen otros elementos de carácter ideológico y ambiental que condicionan en gran medida la decisión de afiliarse por parte del trabajador, y que no suelen ser tenidos en cuenta en este tipo de estudios

    This investigation considers to know the determinants of the probability of which a worker is affiliated to an union in Spain. In her it is supposed that the determinant factors of the affiliation are related to the income and costs associated with this individual decision. For it, first, they try to identify the elements that bring this income and costs near; and, secondly, the effect is estimated of each one of them on the affiliation, using the technology of the models loait. The statistical used source is the Survey of Structure, Conscience, and Biography of class of the year 1990. In the conclusions one emphasizes that, though certain personal features and of the working place they are determinant very important of the union affiliation, other elements exist of ideological and environmental character that determine to a great extent the decision to affiliate on the part of the worker, and that are not in the habit of being had in account in this type of studies
