    Al igual que en el resto de España, en Murcia aparece el periodismo taurino en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. Prueba de la afición de los murcianos por la fiesta de los toros, es la cantidad de periódicos y revistas que desde 1883 hasta nuestros días se editan en Murcia y su región, evolucionando el trabajo de los periodistas desde informar más de lo folklórico y accidental, hasta realizar una crítica objetiva y documentada, con conocimiento del toro, de la lidia y de sus secretos.

    In the midst of XIX century in Murcia took place the appearance of taurine joumalism, as it used to happen throughout Spain in that time. The amount of new issues since 1883 -within Murcia and its Región of daily newspapers and other magazines is a clear witness of the interest in bullfighting. In that way joumalists developed their framework dealing both with the accidental and even quaintness sides of LA FIESTA, and with the objective and well documented reports wisch implied a serious knowledge of bull itself, bullfighting and its misterious details.
