  • Resumen
    • Understanding Domestic Violence is fundamental to perceiving the problem of Gender Violence. According to Concha Garcia Hernandez, domestic violence makes reference to that which takes place within the home, as much from the husband to his wife, as from the mother to her children, the grandson to the grandfather, etc. It excludes those relationships between couples who do not live together. However gender violence has to do with violence that is exerted towards women due to being women, and includes both ill-treatment of a partner, and physical or sexual aggression from strangers, genital mutilation, feminine infanticides, etc. Although it is unjust and above all deplorable, we could affirm that still, at the present time, women continue to be the weaker sex, because they are victims of innumerable cases of domestic violence.
