  • The main approach that we are going to give to social capital is one which considers the interweaving, in all those dynamics of development, of intangible elements, like the normative social system, the cultural one, values, etc. We must not forget that traditionally, whenever development programs are spoken of, they have been related to economic increase, not considering these elements, previously mentioned, a reason why many of the programs, strongly economical, failed. A good conception of development, understood in an integral way, must surpass the idea that growth corresponds to economic policies and distribution to social policies. Once this is achieved, we will manage to incorporate equality as a main target of development, we would consolidate the advances reached in the field of social welfare, economic growth would accelerate and therefore the levels of income, thus obtaining a more integral and sustainable development.
