La necessité de la non-conformité narrative et generique pour representer l´indicible dans "Si c´est un homme" de Primo Levi

    Este artículo estudia el fragmento narrativo y la ambigüedad del sistema genérico de la novela de Primo Levi: Si c’est un homme, La estructura narrativa y genérica de esta novela crea nuevas formas de representar lo inexpresable. Para Levi, Auschwitz representa al mismo tiempo, caos y orden, tanto desde un punto de vista lingüístico como en la estructura narrativa del texto. Incluso en la planifi cación de la escritura, una lengua demasiado perfecta y clásica contradice un principio esencial para Levi: «La necesidad de una escritura imperfecta», es decir, de la no conformidad en la narrativa y el plan genérico, hasta el punto que la escritura y la estructura desordenada del trabajo de Levi constituye una perspectiva para alcanzar lo intocable y fi nalmente para confrontar la realidad de los campos de concentración.

    Con lo cual, Levi está convencido de la fuerza de la escritura imperfecta para representar lo inexpresable. Además de la estructura de la obra, la disconformidad de su clase y su estilo, anima al lector a imaginar la situación real de los presos transportados.

    This article studies the fragmented narrative and the ambiguity of the generic system of Primo Levi’s novel: Si c’est un homme. The narrative and the generic structure of this novel create new ways in order to represent the inexpressible. For Levi, Auschwitz represents at the same time chaos and order, as much linguistically as on the narrative structure of the text. Also, on the plan of the writing, a too perfect and classical language contradicts an essential principle for Levi: «the necessity of an imperfectionate writing», that is to say of nonconformity on narrative and generic plan. To such a point that the writing and the disordered structure of Levi’s work constitutes a perspective to attain the untouchable and fi nally to confront the reality of the concentration camps. In effect, Levi is persuaded of the force of the imperfectionate writing of representing the inexpressible. Besides, the structure of Si c’est un homme Si c’est un homme, the nonconformity of its type and of its style encourage the reader to imagine the real situation of the transported convicts.
