  Na produção social do espaço capitalista, Estado e capital são os típicos agentes do processo. Pretende-se apreender esta produção numa perspectiva que coaduna campo e cidade a partir da importância representada pelo Complexo Agroindustrial Canavieiro no município de Goianésia, Goiás. A intersecção entre Estado e capital, nesse propósito, encerra-se na figura do prefeito-usineiro, detentor do poder político e econômico local, como ocorre na referida cidade. Destarte, o processo de acumulação de capital na atividade canavieira tem ligação direta com as transformações socioespaciais por que têm passado o município, sobremaneira nas duas últimas décadas. Na cidade, moram praticamente todos os trabalhadores temporários, �bóias-frias�, empregados no campo, sendo que muitos bairros foram criados a fim de que pudessem habitá-los. Pensar campo e cidade inseparáveis consiste em apreender a constituição do tecido social urbano a partir de um processo de acumulação de capital no campo que alijou de milhares de homens o direito à terra para plantar, do qual também foram reféns pequenos produtores rurais da região. Assim, chegou-se à conclusão de que o assentamento do urbano desdobrou-se dos processos de acumulação de capital que, em essência, produz espaço e dele tira proveito de modo sub-reptício.

  In the social production of capitalist space, state and capital are the typical agents of the process. The aim is to seize this production a perspective that unites city and country from the amount set by the Agroindustrial sugar cane in the city of Goianésia, Goiás.
