La literatura juvenil histórica como medio para la construcción de la identidad

    La narrativa literaria infantil y juvenil, además de entretener, se presta como lugar histórico y contemporáneo para concienciar y hacer reflexionar a los jóvenes lectores sobre temas como la identidad (¿quién soy?), la indispensable reflexión sobre uno mismo, la relación con y el recuerdo de los antepasados, el olvido y la necesidad de la transmisión del pasado a las siguientes generaciones, y por tanto, la responsabilidad individual como vínculo entre el pasado y el futuro. A pesar de la dificultad de la transmisibilidad de horrores de guerras a segundas y terceras generaciones, queremos presentar la función de la literatura infantil y juvenil (LIJ) histórico-contemporánea como mediador para un diálogo intergeneracional abierto.

    Literary narrative, as well as entertaining, provides a historical and contemporary place to raise awareness and reflection in young readers on subjects such as identity (�who am I?�), the necessary self-reflection, the relationship with memories of the ancestors, the forgetfulness of the past and the need for its transmission to subsequent generations, and therefore, the individual responsibility as a link between past and future. Despite the difficulty in transferring the horrors of wars to second and third generations, we present the role of contemporary historical children�s literature as a mediator for an open intergenerational dialogue.
