    El siglo XXI, ha sido sinónimo de crecimiento económico y calentamiento global, lo que no ha pasado desapercibido por las generaciones que han visto el detrimento de una de las reservas de agua dulce más grandes del planeta (hielos del Ártico). El objetivo de este trabajo es determinar cuáles son las causas del derretimiento del Ártico, tomando en cuenta las causas y consecuencias del calentamiento global dentro de este proceso. Además, analizar los efectos del derretimiento de los hielos del Ártico en la economía y el turismo de las comunidades colindantes es de suma importancia. Los efectos sobre la flora y fauna marina y animales que viven en las costas del Océano Ártico es un tema primordial. Existen ciertas acciones humanas que ayudan a evitar los efectos del derretimiento del Ártico, como dejar de usar combustibles fósiles, promocionar energías renovables, reciclaje de materiales, ahorro de energía y agua, entre otras.

    : The 21st Century, has been synonymous with economic growth and global warming, which has not gone unnoticed by generations of people have seen the detriment of one of the world's largest sources of freshwater (Arctic ice). The aim of this study is to deterioration what causes Aritc melting, taking into account the causes and consequences of global warming in this process. Furthermore, analyzing the effects of melting Arctic ice in the economy and tourism in the surrounding communities is of utmost importance. The effects on flora and fauna and animals living on the shores of the Arctic Ocean is a major issue. There are certain human actions that help prevent the effects of the melting Arctic ocean, such as reducing the use of fossil fuels, promoting renewable energy, recycling of materials, energy and the preservation of water, among others.
