Resumen de A APLICAÇÃO DO FUTURE PROBLEM SOLVING PROGRAM INTERNATIONAL EM ADOLESCENTES:: UM ESTUDO EXPLORATÓRIO

  The promotion of creativity has been a concern for decades in the educational context and it is coherent with recent paradigms of giftedness. However, the investment on research about this topic is still needed, namely concerning the validation of the programs applied over the world. One of the most used programs is The Future Problem Solving Program, which is a creativity training program to adolescents, internationally recognized. Positive results of this program have been found not only about creative skills but also in areas as learning motivation or emotional dimensions. The topic of creativity in education is still recently invested in Portugal, existing systematic and evaluated experience to train creative skills in Portuguese adolescents. The program was then adapted (contents, materials) and applied to 77 students, aged between 12 and 17 years old, in an exploratory study and considering student�s learning motivation and creativity representations. A similar control group was used. Significant differences between pre and post-test emerged concerning learning motivation and creativity representations. Implications of the results for future applications of the program and for educational achievement will be discussed

  A promoção da criatividade tem sido preocupação manifestada há décadas pelo contexto educativo e integra-se nas conceções recentes de sobredotação. Nem sempre, contudo, o investimento na pesquisa e na aplicação sistemática de programas de intervenção tem acompanhado tal preocupação. Um dos programas internacionalmente mais aplicados é o Future Problem Solving Program, treinando a resolução criativa de problemas, mas obtendo resultados também em dimensões como a motivação para a aprendizagem, perspetivação da carreira ou competências emocionais. Este programa foi adaptado ao contexto nacional, nos seus materiais e tarefas, e aplicado a 77 alunos dos Ensinos Básico e Secundário. Um grupo controlo similar foi tomado. Foram avaliadas, antes e após a intervenção, a motivação para a aprendizagem e representações de criatividade. Uma caracterização da intervenção será apresentada, assim como os resultados da mesma, tendo ocorrido mudanças significativas em ambas as dimensões. Implicações dos resultados para futuras aplicações do programa e para o sucesso educativo ficarão ainda apontadas.
