    The current working context to which the educator is exposed is constituted as a factor that can contribute to their psychic illness. The increasing demands and the absence of recognition also contribute for a scenario that favors the construction of a low self-esteem and a professional identity compromised. The educator, weakened in its identity, becomes vulnerable to psychic diseases and unable to contribute to the formation of critical and engaged citizens capable of undertaking important actions in society. This way the malaise in High Education Institutions (HEIs) refers to evil being of contemporaneity, which is related to deviations from the identity matrix of the current society. This theoretical article sought to analyze how the assumptions of the Psychodynamics of Work and its method, as well as the clinical work, can contribute to understanding the malaise in the teaching process in higher education institutions in Brazil. Yet, it reviews the elements of unwell-being teaching and presents the research related the experiences of pleasure and suffering about teaching and psychodynamics of work. The analysis of the context in which HEIs are inserted enables to expand the understanding of the consequences of the marketization of higher education in the professors. daily work and the reflections of this quotidian for the mental health of this group of workers. The presentation of the main elements of the Psychodynamics of Work and its method, as well as its goals and requirements, points out to a possible direction for the understanding and the intervention in the symptoms caused by professors. unwell-being.

    O atual contexto de trabalho ao qual o educador é exposto se constitui como fator que pode contribuir para o seu adoecimento psíquico. As exigências crescentes e a ausência de reconhecimento vêm completar um cenário que favorece a construção de uma baixa autoestima e uma identidade profissional comprometida. O educador, fragilizado em sua identidade, torna-se vulnerável as doenças psíquicas, e incapaz de contribuir para a formação de cidadãos críticos e engajados, capazes de empreender ações transformadoras na sociedade. Desta forma o mal estar na IES relaciona-se aos mal estares da contemporaneidade, os quais estão ligados aos desvios da matriz identitária da sociedade atual. Este artigo teórico objetivou analisar como os pressupostos da psicodinâmica do trabalho e seu método, a clínica do trabalho, podem contribuir para compreensão do mal estar na docência nas Instituições de Ensino Superior no Brasil. Revisa os elementos do mal estar docente e apresenta as pesquisas relacionadas às vivências de prazer e sofrimento sobre docência e psicodinâmica do trabalho. A análise do contexto no qual as IES estão inseridas permite ampliar o entendimento sobre as consequências da mercantilização do ensino superior no cotidiano laboral do docente e os reflexos deste cotidiano para a saúde mental deste grupo de trabalhadores. A apresentação dos principais elementos da Psicodinâmica do Trabalho e do seu método, bem como seus objetivos e requisitos, aponta uma possível direção para compreensão e intervenção nos sintomas causados pelo mal estar docente.
