    Da revisão da literatura efetuada, podemos dizer que as problemáticas adictivas são doenças, habitualmente crónicas e recidivantes, com repercussões a nível mental, físico e social, que independentemente do tipo de dependência existente (com ou sem substância) apresentam uma base neurobiológica comum, assente no sistema de recompensa, e como característica semelhante entre os diversos tipos de adicções, o craving. As modalidades de tratamento incluem as psicoterapias, a farmacoterapia e o internamento, embora o maior enfâse deva ser dado à sua prevenção, nomeadamente na maximização dos fatores de proteção e na minimização dos fatores de risco

    From the literature review, we can state that the hearing disorders are severe sicknesses with repercussion at social, physical and mental levels, which, independently of the kind of existing dependence (with or without substances), show a common neurobiological base, keeps the response system steady and has the craving as a similar characteristic among the several kinds of addictions. The treatment forms include psychotherapies, pharmacotherapy and hospital staying, although the greatest emphasis must be given to prevention, namely the maximization of the protection factors and the minimization of risk factors.
