China y su boom productivo: ¿una receta para imitar?

    A pesar de que 2008-2009 fue un periodo que muchos desearían olvidar en términos económicos, China y otros mercados en desarrollo tuvieron cambios más rápidos y sanos que el resto del mundo. Estas naciones ahora sirven de impulsores para el crecimiento de regiones ya desarrolladas como EE.UU. Seguido a la crisis mundial, la demanda está resurgiendo y dominando el consumo global de todo, desde petróleo hasta carne.

    Este momentum se generó mucho antes de la crisis económica global pero el revés económico aceleró un proceso inevitable: China sobrepasó a Alemania como la tercera mayor economía mundial y acaba de superar a Japón1. ¿Habrá una próxima? Pues podría decirse que China llegará a ser la mayor economía del mundo en 2030, sino antes. Si eso ocurriera, el mundo ya miraría a 2008 y 2009 como un evento transformacional que forzó a China a pasarse de un modelo exportador a un verdadero participante global que probablemente ayudará a moldear e implementar un nuevo marco de negocios. Para cuando llegue ese momento China estará lista y renovada. ¿Lo estará el resto del mundo?

    Although 2008-2009 was a period that many would want to forget in economic terms, China and other developing markets were more rapid and healthy than the rest of the world. These nations now serve as drivers for growth in developed regions like the U.S. Following the global crisis, demand is emerging and dominating the global consumption for everything from oil to beef. This momentum was generated long before the global economic crisis but the economic downturn accelerated an unavoidable process: China overtook Germany as the third largest economy and has just surpassed Japan. Who is the next one? So, one could say that China will become the world�s largest economy by 2030 if not earlier. If that happens, the world would look at 2008 and 2009 as a transformational event that converted China an export model to a real global player which would help shaping and implementing a new business framework. Will be then the rest of the world be ready to face the change?
