    Durante la Guerra Civil el sistema judicial de Cataluñaa sufrió diversas alteraciones, pasando de la Justicia Revolucionaria Popular hasta la creación de Jurats Populars per a la Repressió del Feixisme. Estos jurados dieron paso a la creación de Tribunals Populars especials que siguieron juzgando casos de rebeli ´on militar hasta marzo del 37. Por otro lado, en octubre de 1936 se crearon los tribunales populares para delitos civiles. Con la adecuación de la justicia popular a la normativa del Gobierno de la República, dichos tribunales perderán importancia hasta la creación en verano de 1937 del Tribunal Especial de Espionaje y Alta Traición, los Tribunales Especiales de Guardia y el nuevo Servicio de Investigación Militar (SIM), que crearán un estado de tensión e inseguridad, siendo muy duros en sus condenas.

    During the Spanish Civil War the judicial system in Catalonia suffered diverse alterations, passing from the Popular Revolutionary Justice, to the creation of the Popular Jury for the Repression of the Fascism. These juries led to the creation of the so-called �Tribunals Populars especials� that continued judging cases of military rebellion until March of the 1937. On the other hand, in October of 1936 the popular courts for civil crimes were created. With the adaptation of the popular justice to the regulation of the Government of the Republic, these courts will lose importance until the creation in summer of the 1937 of the Special Court of Espionage and High Treason, the Special Courts of Guard and the new Service of Military Investigation (SIM), that will create a state of tension and insecurity, being very hard in their prison sentences.
