This article critically examines the manner in which the experience of internment in French camps is reconstructed in Quan érem refugiats, published by Catalan writer Teresa Pàmies in 1975. The analysis aims to show that whereas the text shares many of the traits usually found in the majority of the literary works belonging to the corpus of Catalan concentrationary literature highly dominated by male authors, it offers some specificities that might be compared to an experience specifically attributed to women
