    Lo que más caracteriza a la obra de Gabriel García Márquez es su compromiso con los problemas del continente americano. La pobreza, la violencia, la decadencia social, la soledad, la corrupción, la explotación humana, son los temas más recurrentes en dicha obra. En el marco de su compromiso social y político advertimos algún interés por África y los negros. Aquí procuramos reunir y analizar todas las referencias a este tema.

    What most characterizes the literary work of Gabriel García Márquez is its commitment to the problems of the American continent. Poverty, violence, social decay, loneliness, corruption, and human exploitation, are the most recurrent themes in this work. In the context of its social and political commitment, we have noticed certain interest in Africa and the Blacks. In this article, we shall try to collect and analyze all the references to this issue them.
