  • Resumen
    • Omar Felipe Mauri Sierra, from Cuba, presents in this article one of the less known episodes in the Spanish exile: the contribution of the Spanish Republican teachers and pedagogues to the Cuban culture since 1939. From the poet Juan Ram´on Jim´enez to the pedagogue Herminio Almendros, a few of the most important exiled intellectuals arrived to Cuba and contributed to promote the Cuban culture and educative methods in the line of the thought of Jos´e Mart´ý. This article describes the contributions of the Spanish exiled intellectuals in Cuba like, for example, the foundation of new schools and chairs in the University, the renovation of educative ideas and the huge amount of quality works written by the Spanish literary exile in the island.
