Resumen de Mulheres e professoras: uma análise da docência feminina na região de ituverava / SP

  The article examines the situation of women in Brazilian society, taking into account the historical heritage of Western civilization. It discusses the process of feminization of the teaching carrier, presenting research results in this regard: the first one, held in the FFCL Ituverava / SP, raises the number of students of Licenciatura in 2011; the second, held among state schools in basic education under the supervision of the Diretoria de Ensino of the Region of São Joaquim da Barra / SP, shows the number of teachers of both sexes. It is concluded that most educators of the region are women and that this situation tends to perpetuate itself, since most students of the higher education institution analyzed are also women.

  O artigo analisa a situação da mulher na sociedade brasileira, levando em consideração a herança histórica da civilização ocidental. Discute-se o processo de feminização da carreira docente, apresentando resultados de pesquisas a esse respeito: a primeira delas, realizada na FFCL de Ituverava/SP, que levanta o número de alunos dos cursos de Licenciatura em 2011; a segunda, realizada entre as escolas estaduais de Ensino Básico supervisionadas pela Diretoria de Ensino da Região de São Joaquim da Barra/SP, evidencia o número de professores de ambos os sexos. Conclui-se que a maioria dos educadores da região é composta por mulheres e que essa situação tende a se perpetuar, já que a maioria dos estudantes da instituição de ensino superior analisada é também composta por mulheres.
