    El profesor Santos Juliá es uno de los historiadores españoles que más han reflexionado, en los últimos veinte años, sobre la situación de la Historia. En esta entrevista se le pregunta por algunos temas candentes de la historiografía hoy, por el panorama español y por sus intereses personales en el terreno historiográfico. Esto le da pie para repasar temas tales como la llamada historiografía postmoderna, la actualidad de Max Weber, los problemas relativos a la memoria social, la situación de la historiografía española en los últimos treinta años, o la importancia de la figura de Manuel Azaña en su trabajo historiográfico.

    Professor Santos Juliá is one of the Spanish historians who has most reflected on the situation of History in the past twenty years. In this interview he is asked about some burning issues concerning historiography today, the Spanish panorama, and also his personal interests in the field of historiography. This gives him cause to review topics such as the so-called postmodern historiography, the topicality of Max Weber, the problems concerning social memory, the situation of Spanish historiography in the past thirty years, or the importance of the figure of Manuel Azaña in his historiographical work.
