    Este ensayo tiene como intención ser un breve comentario a la novela Luz y Sombra, de la escritora puertorriqueña del siglo XIX, Ana Roqué. Se abordará el texto a partir de las teóricas feministas Biruté Ciplijauskatié y Lizabeth Paravisini-Gebert, mostrando cómo al leer entre líneas el texto se pueden rastrear elementos que lo caracterizan como una novela de perspectiva de género y, del mismo modo, un texto que representa todo el carácter moralizador y pedagógico típico del siglo XIX latinoamericano.

    Cet essai a comme intention d´être un bref commentaire du roman Lumière et Ombre, de l´écrivain portoricaine du XIXème siècle, Ana Roqué.

    Le texte sera abordé à partir des théoriciennes féministes Biruté Ciplijauskatié y Lizabeth Paravisini-Gebert. Cela nous montre comment en lisant le texte à travers les lignes, on peut suivre la piste des éléments qui le caractérisent en tant que roman de perspective de genre. De la même façon, cela nous montre un texte qui représente tout le caractère moralisateur et pédagogique typique du XIXème siècle latino-américain.

    The present article concentrates its concern in highlighting the relationship among man, humanism and humanities from postures of community:

    the one of MacIntyre in what would be a contemporary citizen starting from this posture of philosophical order. That means, a virtuous, solitary citizen, with identity and ownership to the community, in frank critic to the modern postulates of the liberal humanism, from the Aristotelian and Thomas of Aquin claims, among others.
