  • A revision of the P-T conditions of the first metamorphic episode, based on new data on the mineral chemistry of the residual high pressure paragenesis of the metabasic and metapelitic rocks from the Sierra de Guadarrama, has been made. The results show that this conditions were previously clearly underestimated, and that the minimun pressure achieved is around 9 kb, probably reaching up to 12-15 kb, for temperatures in the range 650-750°C
