Fossil plants from Epila village (Zaragoza province) at the Ebro Depression are described. Osmunda parschlugiana, Sabalites and undetermined monocotyledoneous are found in travertinic limestone of a supposed Lower-Middle Miocene age. This discovery suggests the presence of a mainly terrestrial episode developped into a tropical or subtropical climate and within a generalized lacustrine sequence
