    Este artigo aborda estudos sobre a condição leitora de alunos matriculados no primeiro ano do curso de Pedagogia, na modalidade presencial e a distância, da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia � Minas Gerais � Brasil, no ano de 2010. A pesquisa tem como objetivo verificar e compreender quais os percursos de leitura que os alunos ingressantes fizeram na Educação Básica e na vida não-escolar, e analisar que ações, nesse processo, contribuíram para a sua formação do leitor.

    This article discusses studies on the reader condition of students enrolled in the first year of Pedagogy, in the presence and distance modes, at the Federal University of Uberlândia � Minas Gerais � Brazil, in 2010. The research aims to verify and understand which reading paths the freshmen took in Basic Education and in their non-school life, and to analyze what actions in this process contributed to their reader formation.
