    El abate Lorenzo Hervás y Panduro (1735-1809) reunió y describió, en su "Biblioteca jesuítico-española" y en sus "Apéndices de manuscritos hispano- portugueses en siete bibliotecas de Roma", más de 800 legajos y cerca de 2000 documentos. Son fuentes importantes para conocer las humanidades y la historia política y eclesiástica de España y Portugal desde la Hispania Romana y Visigoda (Colección canónico-hispana) hasta el siglo XVIII, principalmente de los siglos XVI y XVII.

    The abbot Lorenzo Hervás y Panduro (1735-1809) reunited and described, in his �Spanish jesuitic Library� and on his �Spanish-Portuguese manuscript appendixes in seven Roman libraries�, more than non-standardeight hundred - writings and about 2000 documents. They are basic sources to know the political and ecclesiastical history in Spain and Portugal from the Roman Spain and Visigothic (Hispan-canonical collection) until the eighteenth centur, and mainly from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
