    The present work was as objective to esteem the soybean production cost in no-till and your profitability in Pereira Barreto - SP region. The data had been obtained next to a representative producer in the region in the soybean production. The used production system was no-till being the first operation in the area application of an after-emergent herbicide. The sowing was total mechanic. The seeds had been inoculated to improve the efficiency of the symbiotic fixation. For the cultural treatments they had been necessary applications of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and spreader-sticker. The harvest was total mechanized using a harvest combine. The calculation of the production cost was based on the structure of the total operational cost used by the Institute of Agricultural Economy. The average prices had been obtained in the region in March of 2003.

    The results show that the total operational cost is of R$ 1,001, 22/ha, being that of this total 76.8% the expenditures with inputs are mentioned to it. The operational profit in was R$ 765,78 and the profitability index was 43.33%. The economic result showed that the soybean production is profitable and an interesting activity for the producer in this region.

    O presente trabalho teve como objetivo estimar o custo de produção da soja em plantio direto e a sua rentabilidade na região de Pereira Barreto-SP. Os dados foram levantados junto a um produtor representativo na região na produção de soja. O sistema de produção utilizado foi plantio direto, sendo a primeira operação na área aplicação de um herbicida pós-emergente. A semeadura foi totalmente mecânica. As sementes foram inoculadas para melhorar a eficiência da fixação simbiótica. Para os tratos culturais foram necessárias aplicações de herbicidas, fungicidas, inseticidas e espalhante adesivo. A colheita foi totalmente mecanizada utilizando-se uma colhedora automotriz. O cálculo do custo de produção foi baseado na estrutura do custo operacional total utilizado pelo Instituto de Economia Agrícola. Os preços médios foram levantados na região em março de 2003.

    Os resultados mostram que o custo operacional total é de R$ 1.001,22/ha, sendo que deste total 76,8% referemse às despesas com insumos. O lucro operacional em foi R$ 765,78 e o índice de lucratividade foi 43,33%. O resultado econômico mostrou que a produção de soja é rentável e uma atividade interessante para o produtor nesta região.
