    El presente trabajo establece la relación entre el pensamiento neoconservador y la política exterior estadounidense instrumentada después del 11 de septiembre de 2001. Primero se muestran los orígenes del pensamiento neoconservador en el contexto de la Guerra Fría. Luego se presenta la programática neconservadora como respuesta a la irrupción de los movimientos contraculturales en la década de los sesenta. En tercer lugar se explica la crítica neoconservadora a la modernidad occidental. Después se analiza la ofensiva conservadora desde el 11 de septiembre de 1973 y los procesos de reestructuración que induce. Por último, se establece la relación entre el "Proyecto para un nuevo siglo americano" y la política exterior de los Estados Unidos en el contexto del 11 de septiembre de 2001.

    The present essay establishes the relationship between the neoliberal thought and the North American foreign policy after September 11, 2001. First, it deals with the origins of neoconservative thinking in the context of the Cold War. Second, it adresses the program content of neoconservatism as an answer to the emergence of counterculture movements during the sixties. In the third place, the neoconservative critic of western modernity is explained, followed by an anallysis of the neconservative offesnsive from September 11, 1973 on and the restructuration processes it induces. Finally, it establishes the relationship between the Project for the New American Century and the USA foreign policy in the context of September 11, 2001.
