    The article examines the Construction of the Linguistic Perfomance as verified in the fundamental level school. The article aims at discussing and analyzing the pedagogical strategies inspired from the Zone of Proximal Development concept elaborated by Vygotsky, intended to stimulate the Construction of the Linguistic Performance. The method employs the longitudinal study developed in the country area (5th, 6th and 7th grades). Based on the students text production, the Construction index can be measured from the analysis of structural, organizational and orthographic elements

    O artigo em questão aborda a Construção de Competência Lingüística no ensino fundamental. Seu objetivo é discutir e analisar estratégias pedagógicas, inspiradas no conceito de Zona de Desenvolvimento Proximal de Vygotsky, para estimular a construção de competência lingüística. Trata-se de um estudo longitudinal no meio rural (5ª, 6ª e 7ª séries). Através da produção de texto, a construção será medida a partir da análise dos elementos estruturais, organizacionais e ortográficos.
