This work describes the field relationships, petrography, mineralogy and geochemistry of ultramafic rocks (clinopyroxenites) belonging to the alkaline-carbonatitic association that occurs in the periphery of the Montaña Blanca-Milocho pluton, NW Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. It provides evidence on the genetic connection between these ultramafic silicate rocks and the carbonatites in the area, as well as some preliminary indications concerning the nature and characteristics of the parental magmas from which this association could be derived
