    El presente artículo analiza la sociedad chilena desde 1990 hasta la actualidad, caracterizándola como una sociedad neoliberal avanzada. La conformación de este tipo de sociedad ha sido producto tanto de la acción política de la restructuración capitalista realizada por la dictadura militar del general Augusto Pinochet, como de las políticas desplegadas por los Gobiernos democráticos (1990-2007), que han profundizado, ampliado y consolidado el neoliberalismo en Chile. Una de las principales consecuencias de esta acción política e histórica de más de treinta años ha sido la constitución de nueva ciudadanía.

    This article analyzes the Chilean society from 1990 to the present, describing it as an advanced neoliberal society. The constitution of this type of society is the result of the political action of the capitalist restructuration under the military dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet as well as of the policies deployed by the democratic governments (1990-2007), which have deepened, widenet and consolidated neoliberalism in Chile. One of the main consequences of this historical and political action of more than 30 years has been the constitution of a new citizenship.
