Possibilidades de intervenção do psicólogo em unidades de terapia intensiva neonatal (UTINS) com bebês pré-termos e seus familiares

    This article consists of a bibliographic review aimed mainly at identifying the possibilities available to psychologists to intervene in Neonatal Intensive Care Units in cases involving preterm babies and their families. A psychoanalytical approach is used to understand the phenomenon in question, making it possible for us to reflect on the unconscious contents that interfere in the parents-preterm baby interaction. The studies presented deal with mental representations of the mother, her feelings and the performance of the psychologist in the face of the preterm birth. The final considerations reveal that intervention at this moment of crisis for the family will facilitate construction of strong affective bonds and a healthy parents-child relationship.

    RESUMO:Este artigo consiste em um trabalho de revisão bibliográfica, cujo objetivo principal é identificar algumas possibilidades de intervenção do psicólogo em Unidades de Terapia Intensiva Neonatais com bebês pré-termos e seus familiares. O enfoque utilizado para compreender o fenômeno em questão é o psicanalítico, que nos permite refletir sobre os conteúdos inconscientes que interferem na interação entre pais-bebê pré-termo. Os estudos apresentados tratam das representações mentais da mãe, seus sentimentos e a atuação do psicólogo frente ao nascimento pré-termo. As considerações finais revelam que intervir nesse momento de crise para a família facilitará a construção de vínculos afetivos fortes e de um relacionamento pais-filho saudável.
