El siguiente artículo pretende exponer someramente las características más relevantes de las teorías que desde la segunda mitad del XVI comenzaron a retomar y reinterpretar los principales teóricos y autoridades italianos a raíz del descubrimiento de la Poética de Aristóteles.
La mayoría de estos tratados y compendios saltan las fronteras italianas divulgando la doctrina neoaristotélica y condicionando la recepción y comprensión del texto en teatro renacentista.

This article aims to provide the reader with an outline of the major characteristics of the theories that the main theoretical and Italian authorities began to resume and reinterpret in the second half of the sixteenth century as a result of Aristotle's Poetics discovery. Most of these treaties and compendiums skip the Italian borders and spread the neo-Aristotelian doctrine abroad by conditioning the receipt and understanding of the text in Renaissance theater.
