Resumen de Acción y reflexión: actitud del estudiante hacia el aprendizaje y el servicio

  El estudio evalúa el rol de las prácticas de servicio comunitario donde la reflexión intencional acompaña el programa. Mediante un diseño cuali-cuantitativo, se revelan los efectos de las prácticas reflexivas sobre el desarrollo reflexivo de los alumnos y asimismo pone de manifiesto el impacto de ese desarrollo reflexivo en la formación personal de los estudiantes, particularmente en la formación de sus actitudes hacia el servicio comunitario. Se analizan las posibles relaciones entre los estadios reflexivos del estudiante definidos por Green y las fases de defini-ción de actitudes adoptados por Shiarella, McCarthy y Tucker. El estudio procuró probar si la reflexión en aprendizaje servicio actúa como motivador en el proceso reflexivo de los partici-pantes y en la formación de actitudes hacia el servicio a la comunidad.

  This study evaluates the role of the community service practices in a program that involves an intentional reflection. Through a qualitative and quantitative model, the effects of the reflective practices over the reflective development of the students are revealed. Likewise, it is shown the impact of the reflective development in the personal formation of the students, particularly in the formation of their attitudes towards the community service. It is analyzed the possible relation between the reflective stages of the student according to Green and the phases of attitudes definition adopted by Shiarella, McCarthy and Tucker. The study tried to prove whether the reflection on service learning is a motivator in the process of reflection of the participants and in the formation of attitudes to the community service.
