  • This essay, the first out of three, is an analysis of Italian cookbook bibliographies, in a historical perspective. The main bibliographical tools are described, in order to help librarians in creating their "cookbook shelfs".

    This first part contains, also, an historical overview of ancient Italian books about cooking and food.
