El discerniment retòric: sobre els principis de la retòrica i el seu valor pedagògic

    Aquest article constitueix una propedèutica a l'art retòrica entesa com una dimensió essencial del discurs a més a més d'una disciplina amb entitat pròpia. S'hi expliciten cinc dels seus principis ètics, polítics i axiològics, que la situen al centre de qüestions com la configuració de l'experiència, el debat sobre veritat i convenció, les dimensions política i performativa del discurs, les relacions entre tradició i innovació i la contextura del judici. Tot el plantejament argumentatiu constitueix una defensa del valor pedagògic de la retòrica pel que fa al desenvolupament de la consciència lingüística, al domini del discurs i a la capacitat per interpretar-lo críticament d'acord amb els seus usos socials.

    This article constitutes a propaedeutic to the rhetoric art regarded as an essential dimension of speech as well as a solid field of knowledge. It states five of the discipline’s political, ethical and axiological principles which place it at the center of the following issues: the configuration of experience, the truth-convention debate, the politic and performative dimensions of speech, the relation between tradition and innovation and the shaping of judgment. This work builds a defense of rhetorics’ pedagogical value by showing its role in the linguistic consciousness development and in the acquisition of speech competence, which includes the criterion to interpret it according to its social uses.
