Most educators know that the best way to truly understand new material is to teach it. The use of students as peer educators provides numerous benefits to the student teacher and his or her classmates. Student-led instruction or peer-to-peer teaching is not a new concept or teaching technique. Peer teaching traces its roots back to the ancient Greeks and Aristotle [1 ]. Aristotle is known to have used �archons� or student leaders to help fellow students understand the tenets being taught. This use of fellow students or classmates to augment learning has continued to today. This article examines a project designed to facilitate peer-to-peer teaching in order to augment learning.
