El intelectual históricamente ha interactuado con la política. Hoy el llamado es todavía más urgente, y se le exige un involucramiento que implica tanto la participación activa, consejero o actor en primera persona, o como teórico.
En el primer caso es imperativa su autenticidad y testimonio en su hacer y ser; en el segundo caso es importante tener presente al hombre como sujeto y no como un objeto de la política.

Throughout history, the intellectual has always interacted with politics. In the present day, the call for action is yet more urgent. He is compelled to get involved either actively, as a counsellor or first hand player, or theoretically. In the first case, testimony and authenticity by his doing and being are imperative;
in the second case it is important to hold man as a subject and not as an object of politics.
