La autora se centra en la jurisprudencia en tanto es la principal fuente normativa de la época, que cumple una importante función en la creación del Derecho y en la interpretación de las restantes fuentes del Derecho romano.

The present work analyzes the sources of Roman law at the Republican period. The author centers her essay in the jurisprudence as the main normative source of the period in study;
jurisprudence has an important role in the generation of new law and in the interpretation of the remaining sources of law.
