Resumen de Investigación universitaria socialmente legítima. Una mirada desde la historia

El ensayo que a continuación se presenta tuvo como propósito fundamental analizar el constructo legitimidad social de la investigación universitaria a partir del estudio de los aspectos históricos que definen la investigación universitaria en el escenario latinoamericano. Tal tarea permitió derivar como conclusión que el significado del constructo legitimidad social de la investigación universitaria está relacionado con la edificación de un sistema institucional que operativamente vincule ciencia y tecnología con la sociedad en su totalidad y, sincrónicamente, diseñe mecanismos y procesos que consoliden su dignidad en la sociedad como fuente de saber y de confianza en sus productos. Sistema institucional que permita concebir el proceso investigativo como una construcción social que emerge del contexto espacio-temporal universitario y que está condicionada por las circunstancias socio-psicológicas que la circundan y por un concepto de orden, entendido como proceso disciplinado y metódico construido a partir de un sistema de creencias y de convicciones epistemológicas y metodológicas, compartido y aceptado por toda la comunidad universitaria en el que dicho proceso investigativo se inscribe, enmarcándose también en un sistema referencial de conocimientos, validado científicamente y capaz de trascender la particularidad para integrarse a redes investigativas que en una secuencia diacrónica permita conformar una trayectoria de desarrollo a través de sucesivas conexiones.

The essay below is main purpose was to analyze the construct of social legitimacy of university research, from studying the historical aspects that define university research in Latin American scene. This task allowed to derive the conclusion that the meaning of social legitimacy of university research is related to the building of an institutional system that operationally linking science and technology with society as a whole and, synchronously, design mechanisms and processes that consolidate their dignity society as a source of knowledge and confidence in their products. Institutional system that allows conceiving the research process as a social construct that emerges from the university spatialtemporal context and is conditioned by the sociopsychological circumstances that surround and a concept of order, understood as disciplined and methodical process built from a system of beliefs and epistemological and methodological beliefs, shared and accepted by the entire university community in which research is part of that process, also framed in a referential system of knowledge, scientifically validated and able to transcend the particularity to integrate investigative networks that allows a diachronic sequence form a path of development through successive connections.
