    La competitividad se constituye en un factor decisivo si se quiere alcanzar un crecimiento continuo y mejor calidad de vida de la población. Es fundamental conocer cuál ha sido su comportamiento para poder establecer políticas y estrategias acordes con las exigencias del actual orden nacional y mundial. Se trata de mirar opciones desde otra perspectiva: las regiones. Es decir, dejar de lado el criterio central y hacer énfasis en los factores regionales, apoyados en integraciones regionales y apoyo gubernamental regional. Es prioritario para las regiones adoptar y adaptar mecanismos institucionales formales. Sin embargo, se requeriría de la voluntad y dedicación de los estamentos implicados en este proceso. Dadas estas circunstancias, es necesario ampliar y profundizar el conocimiento sobre el tema e impulsar acciones, desde el sector privado, para que la competitividad adquiera mayor importancia para las regiones y el país. En este trabajo se pretende hacer un breve diagnóstico de la competitividad del país y sus regiones con el fin de apoyarse en fuentes fiables para poder establecer políticas que ayuden a dichas regiones, no se trata de una imposición, se trata de destacar la necesidad de mirar desde otra perspectiva el crecimiento y desarrollo.

    Competitiveness is a crucial factor if we are to achieve continued growth and improved quality of life of the population.

    It is essential to know what was their behavior in order to establish policies and strategies consistent with the requirements of current national and world order. It is looking at options from another perspective: the regions.

    That is, leaving aside the central criterion and emphasize regional factors, supported by regional integration and regional government support. It is a priority for regions to adopt and adapt formal institutional mechanisms. However, it would require the will and commitment of the institutions involved in this process. Given these circumstances, we must expand and deepen the knowledge on the subject and encourage action from the private sector to become more competitive importance to the regions and the country. This paper seeks to make a brief analysis of the competitiveness of the country and its regions to rely on reliable sources to establish policies to help those regions, it is not an imposition, attempts to highlight the need to look from another perspective, the growth and development.
