Resumen de Anidamiento de ¿guácharos? (steatornis caripensis) en Putina Punco, sureste de Perú

Se describe la presencia de Steatornis caripensis (Humboldt, 1817) en dos sitios ubicados en Putina Punco (14º13'00'' S - 69º09'50'' W; 850 msnm), departamento de Puno. Esta especie utiliza estos sitios solamente para anidar, migrando después de la cría de polluelos. Los nidos se encuentran construidos en las paredes rocosas de las quebradas Tunquimayo y Arco Punco, los cuales están expuestos a la luz del día. Probablemente, este sea el primer registro de anidamiento de esta especie en este tipo de hábitats en el Perú.

The presence of Steatornis caripensis (Humboldt, 1817) in two sites located in Putina Punco (14º13'00'' S - 69º09'50'' W; 850 msnm), department of Puno, Peru was described. This species only uses these sites to nest, disappearing post-breeding; the nests are built in the rocky walls of the gulches Tunquimayo and Arco Punco, which are exposed by the light of the day. Probably, this it is the first records of breeding of this species in this type of habitats in the Peru.
