  • Resumen
    • The anonymous author of the brief Romanist treatise Exceptiones Petri the first half of the twelfth century used the Digestum vetus, but knew the Novels only in the form of the Epitome Iuliani. The work was intended fot practical judicial use and reflected the influence of Martinus Gosias. Given these dichotomies, the treatise caused much debate regarding origin, date and authorship. The recently discovered fifth manuscript of the Exceptiones, codex Lleida (Lérida), Arxiù de la Catedral R21, from Catalonia (Roda) might be the oldest copy extant as indicated by is single appendix De actionibus. It confirms the dedication to one Odilo of Valence, but casts doubt on the identification of Petrus with Pierre de Cabannes, associating the treatise once more with the circle of Saint-Ruf.
