La idea es presentar un estado de la cuestión y extraer del mismo algunas sendas interpretativas para futuros desarrollos

This article is a revision of the history of the main theoretical proposals for the independence of Venezuela, together with the possible relationship with the Atlantic History focus. The idea is to present the State of the Art on the question and to extract some interpretative clues for future developments.
