    Este artículo presenta un análisis multidimensional en la trayectoria de dos grupos de adolescentes con diferentes realidades geográficas, ubicados en la Primera Región de Chile, una perteneciente a zona urbana y otra de zona rural, con el fin de conocer las variables que han influenciado su formación deportiva desde sus inicios hasta la etapa cadetes (13 y 15 años). Este análisis buscó de determinar los factores sociales y ambientales que posiblemente hayan influido y marcado trayectorias deportivas diferentes. Los datos obtenidos se exponen en Tablas de Distribución de Frecuencias y Cálculo de porcentajes. Para el caso del análisis de relaciones entre variables y contrastes de diferencias, la información obtenida se reúne en Tablas de Contingencia. Se aprecian diferencias significativas entre adolescentes de zona rural respecto a los de zona urbana en lo tocante a medioambiente favorable para desarrollar una actividad deportiva - competitiva sistemática debido a su entorno geográfico más reducido.

    This paper presents a multidimensional analysis performed on two teenage groups from different geographical backgrounds in Chile�s First Region; one from the urban area and the other from the rural area. This work aims to acknowledge the variables that influenced the sportive training of these youngsters since their early years until their fifteens. The purpose is to determine the social and environmental factors that may have influenced and left a mark on diverse sport paths. The data obtained is displayed in Frequency Distribution and Percentage Calculation Charts. Regarding the analysis of the relation between variables and contrasts, the data obtained is gathered in Contingency Tables. Meaningful differences are shown between these two groups, regarding the advantageous environment where more systematic sport and competitive activities are performed due to its reduced geographical surroundings.
