    En este texto se abordan diversas aproximaciones a los orígenes del movimiento vecinal bajo el franquismo tomando como centro del análisis las redes sociales establecidas en los nuevos suburbios entre sus pobladores. Así, frente a la idea de un movimiento surgido de la interacción entre una realidad urbana deficitaria y las nuevas posibilidades que ofrece el marco legal franquista a partir de 1964, aquí se defiende la centralidad del proceso de generación de identidades compartidas en los nuevos barrios, de un tejido social propio que construyó los barrios y la aparición de nuevos sujetos de la protesta en el espacio vivencial, como activadores de un movimiento que utilizaba las herramientas legales a su disposición de formas diversas

    This text deals with various approaches to the origins of the urban social movement under Franco, focusing its analysis on the social networks established between the inhabitants of the new suburbs. Thus the text, challenging the image of a movement that would have emerged from the interaction between the urban deficits and the new possibilities offered by the Francoist legal framework from 1964 on, defends instead the centrality of: the generation of shared identities in the new neighborhoods; an autonomous social fabric that built the neighborhoods; and the emergence of new subjects that staged the protest in the residential space. All these elements are presented as activators of a movement that used in various ways the legal tools at its disposal.
