  • An interview with Arlette Farge, whose extensive experience of work with archives was paralleled by an intense effort to understand and think about them, offers us her insights into the resemblances between writing history and writing under constraint, as well as on different ways of using and transmitting documents when writing history (presentation, quotation, interpretation).
