    El campo de Argelers de la Marenda, se convirtió en un espacio de horror, de terror y de maltrato continuado a los ciudadanos recluídos, que comportó numerosos y graves síntomas, que se extienden a primera, a segunda, a tercera y a cuarta generación. La vinculación de ciertos problemas psicopatológicos con la represión política, es preciso, también buscarla, fuera de las personas que son víctimas.

    Algunos de esos síntomas no deberían considerarse como de una persona enferma, sino como problemas de una persona previamente sana, pero ahora enloquecida social y psíquicamente que presenta cambios significativos: retraimiento, desconfianza, soledad, marginación, privación de las necesidades básicas, es decir, anomia.

    Por otro lado, el silencio y la impunidad, es decir la carencia de verdad integral y la ausencia de justicia, tienen mucha importancia en la aparición de cuadros clínicos. Contra ello tenemos el testimonio, un instrumento efectivo que reduce los síntomas. Porque, no sólo hace función terapéutica sino también pedagógica para el conjunto de la comunidad.

    Moreover, the silence and impunity, that is lack of true and complete absence of justice, are of great importance in the clinical appearance. Against this there is the testimony, an effective tool that reduces the symptoms. Testimony does not only therapeutic function but also by the entire educational community. Convert images and feelings in words, and the traumatic memories of those who survived lost toxicity.
